The Side Benefits of SEO Services

A SEO company should never forget that its clients tend to only care for the bottom line when it comes to SEO performance. If they, the clients, feel that they are not reaping any results (i.e., profits) from their investment into SEO services and Internet Marketing, they'll tend to be quite upset and impatient. They usually only look at the selected keyword phrases they are purchasing without comprehending what other side benefits they are receiving from this promotional tactic.

When a website is properly optimised for search engine indexing, it's transformed into something that utilises a deliberate and methodical navigation pattern to information. This pattern is the same one that a search engine crawler or spider usually looks for. Always remember that whenever an SEO service makes it easier for a crawler to index your site, you have a better opportunity of getting your webpage into a higher ranking in a search engine results page (SERP).

Moreover, even though W3C validation is a goal that all websites should endeavour to achieve, it's not really needed for better SERP placement. Although it does help, Yahoo developers and engineers have confessed that whether or not your site is W3C compliant does not make a significant difference to how it is placed. If it contains relevant material and content, it will get ranked-no more, no less.

One other factor that affects the success of a site's SEO roots from navigational organisation. The proper placement of content as well as the correct naming of file names and page titles is essential for spiders to properly index your website's pages, text, and material. Even though Google doesn't give much stock to meta tags, these are still regularly used as part of the algorithm and should not be neglected.

In truth, Internet Marketing is best used to garner traffic to the site through a variety of methods. Aside from getting a good ranking in SERPs, you can also take advantage of User Groups, Directory Submissions, RSS/XML feeds, blogs, articles, and press releases in order to bring relevant traffic into your homepage.

Once the site has been written and coded properly, the SEO process goes up a notch. This is the point where the side benefits of SEO begin to appear. For example, let's say that your company has been creating a large volume of press releases where every week, you discuss the colour of your widget. Each press release should also enumerate the other widget colours you have available.

Even if only the first press release in a series gets published (let's say, the Red Widget one), you've already made a valuable in-bound link (IBL) to your website for your Red Widget. Furthermore, because you've included the other widget colours too, they'll be benefiting from IBLs as well. An even better illustration of a side benefit is keyword and phrase rankings that you weren't even targeting in the first place.

Going back to the widget example, if your site copy focuses on the best way to preserve your widgets, the available colours that they come in, and their different applications, then you've just developed an assortment of phrases that will help your site get a better SERP placement. Also remember that each page gets ranked on its own, so it's important to optimise every page that you have.

In any case, the next time your clients check Google to see where their site ranks for its keyword phrases, remind them about the hidden phrases and keywords that have been included in the site's content. They'll be very surprised at how many of these neglected words and terms end up at the top of the SERP pile.
